| Chris Clark committed to Aberdeen
But I wouldn't like to find myself getting stale and letting myself down. I'll carry on as normal and if I'm playing for Aberdeen next week I'll do what I've done throughout my career and put in everything I've got." The league encounter between these two sides only a week previously had ended in a goalless draw, but Aberdeen ensured after only three minutes that would not be the case again. Lee Miller's knock down to Steve Lovell was ferried on to Barry Nicholson and, when his shot was parried by Tim Krul, Jamie Smith swept in the rebound. Falkirk skipper Darren Barr headed in the equaliser barely a minute later from Pedro Moutinho's corner, only for Lovell to touch Miller's pass past Krul to restore Aberdeen's lead in the 10th minute. Falkirk dominated the second half as they sought an equaliser and it finally came in the 73rd minute as midfielder Arnau Riera headed in Carl Finnigan's cross.

GOP VIPs ponder David Iglesias fallout
Damron from the ticket last year in favor of John Dendahl. Dendahl wound up receiving little support from the state party and stumbled to a historic defeat, then left the state with a less-than-generous benediction. "The Republican Party is mortally wounded," Cargo, who sits on the party's central committee, said. "But once Bill (Richardson) leaves and these indictments come down, there may not be much left of the Democratic Party either." For now, at least, Democrats seemed happy to watch the unfolding battle in their opponent's camp. Matt Farrauto, the executive director of the New Mexico Democratic Party, said he had little to add to what had already been reported, but did his best. Brutally parodying an episode last year in which Domenici was seen at his Capital Hill office wearing what were described as pajamas - Domenici said they were actually hunting pants - Farrauto said it was increasingly clear the venerable senator was vulnerable.
Donation will help agency's works
A donation from the Val Verde County Sheriffs Office will help a local agency in areas where traditional funding does not cover. Earlier this month the Sheriffs Office Santas donated $400 to the Quad Counties Council for Alcohol and Drug Abuse. According to Quad Counties Executive Director Simon Sotelo, the money will be used to help fund incentives used to draw people toward events that focus on drug prevention and awareness. Areas typically not allowed by the state agencies that fund the organization. (This money) will enable us to do prevention more effectively, especially in training parents in different subjects related to substance abuse prevention with adolescent kids, such as recognizing early signs (of drug use), said Sotelo. Sotelo said some of the money will be spent on a project called Quad en tu Barrio (Quad in your neighborhood), where Quad Counties hosts loteria (bingo) sessions in different area colonias.
Open Mike: Tiger always a hot topic
My irons were not sharp." I agree that the man carries a lot of weight on his shoulders and a lot of responsibility. That is exactly why, if he chooses once in awhile not to answer all the questions from inquiring minds, it is his right. I think we expect too much of him anyway. . . .
