Well, it's almost time for me to head off to Australia. Tomorrow, actually, but this might be my last chance to get in a blog before then. I will try to blog while there but won't promise. Christmas is over and it was quite a pleasant one. My son visited from Las Vegas and he said he had a good time. It looks like he is set on going back to college full time to qualify as an accountant. He did one class last semester and got an A, so it looks like he should do OK in that field. He has quite a bit of money coming to him for education from the time he spent in the United States Air Force; at least enough for about two years of college. We spent Christmas Eve morning at my wife's parents then headed to Pensacola Beach, Florida to where my wife's sister and family live. Lots of gifts were handed around and we all ate and drank too much.
Nic Cage's Naked Intruder Sentenced
The latest on the bizarre break-in. The man who broke into the home of NICOLAS CAGE has been sentenced to six months in rehab, Reuters reports. ROBERT DENNIS FURO JR. pleaded guilty to one count of felony stalking, while two other charges were dropped. He was also given credit for time served. His attorney said he was in a compromised state due to sleeping pills and Vicodin. Last October, the 46-year-old man gained entrance to the actor's Newport Beach residence, where he stripped nude and put on Cage's leather jacket. Cage and his family were home at the time. He confronted the intruder and escorted the man out of his home without incident. .

He admitted to having difficulty with Carter, but worked well with Ford and Clinton. He regretted voting against Sutter for the Supreme Court. He doesn’t like the game of "gotcha" in politics. When asked about the outburst of President Clinton against Chris Wallace of Fox News over the pursuit of Osama bin Laden, Kennedy smiled and said, "I kind of liked what Clinton said." Applause. He thought that if Hilary Clinton were elected president, she was up to it. Student questions With the remaining time, students asked questions at the four mike stations. One was about the validity of the Peace Corps. "It is a high priority in reaching different cultures." He was upset over the fact that there had been no hearings on Al Qaeda in the past two years. When asked about the media, he said, "The ways of getting information are very different today—through bloggers and the internet." Judy Woodruff asked the final question.
Pop Tarts: Top Ten Celebrity Meltdowns: Who Went Mad and Made a Mess ...
And while Britney Spears won't be winning any awards for her VMA performance, she does (surprise, surprise) take the gold for the greatest meltdown of the year, topping Pop Tarts' list of Tinseltown's most troubled. "2007 has probably been the worst year of Britney's life, with so many bizarre behaviors — fights with the paparazzi and her mother, custody battles, binge drinking and car accidents. However, the number one meltdown is the shaving of her head," said Patrick Wanis, a psychologist and celebrity behavior expert who worked with Pop Tarts to compile the Top Ten. "Few people realized how serious this incident was and what it signified. Although in some cultures shaving the head can represent cleansing or letting go of the old self, in Britney's case it was really more about self-mutilation and self-loathing than a spiritual ritual." But Brit is in close company with her former panty-free party pals Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton, who take second and third place respectively.
